Vertical corn seed (cluster) dryer, also known as tower-type corn seed (cluster) dryer, is a kind of large scale professional mechanized continuous drying equipment for corn seed and cluster; it sort and clean the harvested fresh corn clusters without threshing, and then put them directly into the dryer to conduct the drying operation, which effectively reduces the rate of broken corn seeds during drying and ensures the quality of the seeds. Compared with the traditional horizontal type single chamber corn cluster dryer, tower type corn cluster dryer has many obvious advantages,such as rapid dehydration, drying uniformity,high degree of automation,small footprint, low comprehensive investment cost,etc.
The system of the dryer is composed of multiple sets of vertical drying towers that are functionally independent of each other.Corn cluster to be dried will be put in from the feeding inlet above the drying tower and move continuously downwards; the hot air will horizontally pass through the corn clusters moving vertically to dry them; well dried corn clusters are continuously discharged through the discharging mechanism; the discharging mechanism is driven by VVVF motor and its discharging capacity can be steplessly adjusted and controlled to adapt to different capacity requirements. A number of air temperature and humidity monitoring sensors are set up in the hot air intake duct of each set of drying tower and the hot air duct and exhaust air duct of drying tower to automatically detect the multi-point temperature and humidity of hot air and exhaust gas in all drying towers in a real-time way; the monitored data can be stored or printed and are displayed on computer; the can be remotely transmitted.
This dryer is composed of feeding system, cleaning system,conveying system, cluster feeding machine, multiple cluster drying towers that are independent of each other, heating system, electric control system, etc. Corn seed cluster drying system can bedesigned as one-time drying process or two-time drying process.

This dryer is a fixed chamber type drying equipment composed of feeding system,cleaning system, conveying system, cluster-drying chamber, heating system, electrical control systems, etc.The main body of the dryer is composed of multiple monomer drying chambers permutated and combined in a plane; each monomer drying chamber is independent of each other, and each of them can hold 25~50 tons of corn cluster ,in the drying process, hot air is supplied respectively to each monomer drying chamber through a large hot air duct. after the moisture content of the corn clusters drops to a predetermined value, discharge the dried corn cluster from the drying chamber, then feed again to begin the next drying cycle．
Corn seed cluster drying system can be designed as one-time drying process or two-time drying process. One-time drying process is to dry the wet clusters below the safe moisture at one time, and then store it in the warehouse after threshing and cleaning．Two-time drying process is to dry the wet cluster to about l 8% of moisture content, and then dry the threshed seeds below the safe moisture and store it in the warehouse after cleaning. The two drying processes have their own characteristics, so a proper one can be chosen according to the initial moisture content ofcorn seeds and the user's requirements．
